The Hard Work Issue release Party

Josh Kramer, editor, cartoon extraordinaire, launched the brand new issue of The Cartoon Picayune in style along with some original drawings, hand-picked tunes, sips, and eats including cookies from the famous Captain Cookie and the Milkman DC food truck.
 

Inside Out

I hope you caught this cerebral exhibition of brother and sister artists Nate and Leah Lewis.   Leah Lewis outwitted some vintage record cases and gave them new life as ultra smart and beautifully crafted mixed media pieces.  Nate Lewis also exhibited new work:  delicate drawings and personal mixed media works inspired by his intense experiences in the medical field.

The crowd fell in love with the charming microscapes of the District by our featured artist, DC photographer Karen Landes, and were tantalized by a latin/belly dance fusion performance by members of the local dance group Raquettes Latin.
